Bio
I'm Tony (he/him or they/them), a resident doctor in Public Health & Preventative Medicine Including Family Medicine at St Michael's. I am running for a position on the PARO General Council because I am committed to advocating for the well being, working conditions, and professional interests of residents across Ontario.
During medical school, I was involved in advocacy and governance as a student representative on the Queen's University Board of Trustees, the highest governing body of Queen's University. Not content to work just inside the system to make life better for students, I left the Board of Trustees and served as the Vice President Community on the Society of Professional and Graduate Students at Queen's University. In this new role, I convinced Kingston City Council to pass a pilot residential rental licensing project to improve the quality of student housing in Kingston.
In short, I am deeply committed to improving the life of resident doctors in Ontario. I look forward to bringing your concerns to PARO.
